Maid Match is an award winning website which helps employers and domestic helpers to connect with each other. We are not a recruitment agency and will never request a fee from the domestic helper.
Is it free?
Maid Match is free to use. We aim to facilitate the employment process for families looking for maids in the Middle East. We specialise in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras-al-Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain, areas and other Middle Eastern countries such as Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
How do I post a job?
To post a job/role/vacancy click here. Complete your job advert and then make it live. You will be able to manage the responses you receive through the site.
How do I search for a maid, driver, nanny or home helper?
To search details of maids on our database you have to register. Registration is free. Once you have registered you can search using your personalised filters and add candidates to your favourites list.
How do I contact a maid?
Use your selected filters to sort through the profiles available and then message them safely through the Maid Match website.
How do I make contact with an Employer I am interested in?
Contacting an employer is very simple, you need to register and complete your profile. You will then be able to search for a suitable employer using your specific filters. Your preferred employers can be added to your favourites list and you can message them securely through the Maid Match platform.
Do I need to send any documents to Maid Match?
No, please do not send us any documents. Once you have registered on the site you have access to everything you need on the site.
Why should I use Maid Match?
We are proud to offer a market leading online portal to facilitate the recruitment process for the recruitment of maids, drivers, helpers, nannies and drivers. In just a few minutes you can have your profile up and running, be talking to suitable candidates and commencing the interview process.
I have tried to contact a helper but they are not answering. What should I do?
Often they do not check their email every day or they do not have credit to access the internet, so it may take them a while to reply to you. It is more than likely that you will receive a response within a week.
How do I update my account?
Once you have logged in you can easily update your profile or job advert. If you have any problems please contact our support team.
What are the rules for hiring a maid or domestic helper?
Under UAE law maids, helper, drivers, nannies and house boys are regarded as domestic servants and in order for you to employ them you need to:
• Sponsor the employee on your, or in most cases your husband’s, Visa
• Process their Visa
• Pay them a monthly salary of no less than the legal minimum stipulated per nationality
• Provide a weekly day off
• Provide annual paid leave of 30 days
• Provide an annual flight to their home country
What are the needed documents needed for to get a visa for a Maid?
The following documents are required for visa processing is as follows:
• Copy of Maid’s Passport Copy
• Copy of Maid’s Visa Copy (if any)
• Maid’s Photo x 12
• Copy of Employer’s Passport Copy
• Copy of Employer’s Visa Copy
• Employer’s Residence Tenancy Contract
• Employer’s 3 months bank statement/ Labour Contract Copy
How long does it take to get a visa?
Approximately 3-5 weeks.
Can I get help with the Visa application process?
It is possible to apply for a visa yourself and there are numerous websites that offer advice on how to proceed. Alternatively, you can ask a PRO (Public Relations Officer) to assist you. Your employer will be able to recommend a reliable one or may allow you use of the company PRO.
How much should I pay the maid/nanny?
There is a lot of variation in the salaries paid to maids, nannies and drivers. Average salaries for a maid tend to be between AED1500 and AED2500 per month. Pay will depend on their experience, the amount of time they have been with your family and their nationality. It is worth noting that you also need to pay holiday pay and return flights to their home country. You also may wish to include an end of year bonus, a food and/or toiletries allowance and you also may wish to buy them a uniform. Be aware that the salary you agree with your maid must exceed the minimums set by law for different nationalities which are as follows:
• Filipino nationals AED 1400
• Indian nationals AED 1100
• Sri Lankan nationals AED 825
• Indonesian nationals AED 800
• Bangladeshi nationals AED 725
